Under en lång period arbetade jag med begreppet hem. Dessa verk tog den fysiska formen av rummet. Folktomma och symbolladdade rum har blivit som individen själv med sina dörrar som släpper ut och släpper in. Där emellan pågår en process med oanade dimensioner. Och inför dessa verk så studerade jag bilder av Duccio och Giotto, vars religösa och ikonografiska målningar fascinerade mig i sin rumslighet bortom centralperspektivets strama regler.
The meaning of home intrigues me and I worked in this theme for a longer period of time. These homes are presented as sculpted rooms for a wall. Being void of people and filled with symbols, it turns them into individuals with doors, that let impressions enter and exit. In that space, between moving in and out, there is an ongoing process with unknown effects. Before starting this project I was inspired by the imagery by Giotto and Duccio. I am fascinated by the way the space in their religious and iconographic paintings move beyond the strict rules of the central perspective.
